Nacho, I sent a mail to our local dealer. Don't know if he has it or can order it? :shruggy:

local dealer is a joke LOL ( I know them personally ). I already contacted them and told me they were to update me about after contact to Tannoy ( guess what ? I got the answer from Tannoy BEFORE THEY get me an answer LOL ), they normally don't have any part on the shelf for this kind of stuff, just maybe professional parts.

Tannoy sales service gave me a distribuitor info located in London who could still have some parts. Apparently this distributor still have LOTS of discontinued parts.

lets see what happens.

still searching around the world

I noticed that both the 607 and 607II have a 3000Hz crossover, and the same woofer.  Maybe there isn't enough of a difference between the two crossovers that makes using the 607's tweeters a possibility?

yeah, I found it last friday. Those are for the 607 version. I have been tempted to bid on them, BUT if I have to get diff unit, will be for an upgrade not an "stepback."

the 607 speakers were changed on crossover and tweeter just right because they "colored" the sound at some frequencies, specially vocals areas. That was corrected for the 607 II version

My tweeter unit looks EXACTLY the same, but is a diff PN. You know is something like wanting to restore a car with the correct piece and not just something than will work

Wanting to make the best setup for some audio jobs with what I have, I don't want an "stepback". True these speakers aren't really made for studio job, but they will work for what I want right now.

GREAT... THERE ARE OPTIONS!!! Thanks Christian

I found a distribuitor called Lockwoodaudio ( Tannoy reffered me to them ) close to London. They told me have them in stock and quoted at GBP 37.50 each including VAT and carriage. That makes US$57.9207 each

http://www.lockwoodaudio.co.uk/

I guess VAT is sale taxes, and Carriage is shipping ? dunno if the shipping he quoted me is TO VENEZUELA ? I told him I'm in Venezuela. I'm asking him anyway to be sure.

whatever will be the distributor I get them from, I know need to imagine how to send the payment. My parents have a bank account in Spain, so I guess a bank transfer will be alright

have you ever used "studio" speakers/monitors for home entertainment purposes? I was thinking about going that way, but wanted to find out the pros/cons.

IT CAN BE USED, but to get max pros, will be better use it with a matching receiver, &/or pre and amplifier setup and WIRING.

however my speaker is the residential series of Tannoy brand... allmost all top end speaker brands have residential and studio series. Tannoy, B&W, Klipsch are three of them. Genelec is another one. I was B&W seller once, long time ago. There are more brands not that "commercial" and also some hand manufacturing brands, what are more into AUDIOPHILE world.

David Palmer ( one of the best studio sound engineers ), has used B&W Nautilus on the studio

The big sensation about Tannoys is the use on some speakers the "concentric" drivers in some of the highest top models including residential, being the high frequency built into the lower frequency driver:

http://www.tnt-audio.com/casse/tannoy-concentric_e.html

here is an example of one concentric drivers model into the sixies series ( residential ), like mine it is of that series

thats the 609 speaker,

Ponch... do you want a GREAT speaker set ? not a bookshelf size or cheap though! and double expensive when new

http://cgi.ebay.com/B-W-nautilus-801-EXCELLENT-pair-in-black-MAKE-OFFER_W0QQitemZ170537472058QQcategoryZ3276QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3286.m7QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D3%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D5815820175521848183

Personally heard them and WOW!!!

I used to heard it with Yamaha and Marantz home theaters receivers on same brands DVD players via Digital output, but must be even GREATER with McIntosh, Krell or something like that. Of course just noticeable with really fine tuned ears... I'm not, mmm yet.

Any speaker of Nautilus the 800 series sounds great! They are not a new release, but giving options that I actually have heard. I was a seller of that brand once
