Christmas Holidays - What Are Your Plans?

In Canada, not only do we have the 25th of December as a statutory holiday, we also have the 26th - known as Boxing Day.  This means everything is shut down for both Monday and Tuesday.  A lot of companies will offer Friday off as New Years Day instead of Monday, and also give you both Wednesday and Thursday off.  To make a long story short - I've got the whole week off so I won't be around much.  Oh yeah, I am taking tomorrow off as well.    

I am going with my Wife and Daughter and my Mother & Father out to Calgary, AB to visit with my Brother, his Wife and their three Children.  We are planning on going skiing in Banff a couple of times as I would like to get my Daughter warmed up to skiing as well as skating this winter.  My Mother, my Wife and my Sister-In-Law are all excellent cooks so there will be no shortage of good food.  My Brother, as conservative as he is, still enjoys a few beers.  His birthday is on the 28th so his Wife is throwing a huge party for him.  I am really looking forward to the trip with the exception of the 5 hour flight there and back with the young Child.

I might not be around so much over the course of the holidays but I wanted to wish all of you folks all the best over the Christmas break.  You folks are a lot of fun.  Here's to you!

I am staying home with my family all weekend.  This year will be a little tougher that usual.  We lost my mom to cancer a few months ago.  My plan is to enjoy as much family time as I can with my kids.

im working friday until 3,then off until tuesday.we are meeting my parents and brothers and families saturday am,and then her parents house saturday evening.im sure ill get intoxicated,then open presents sunday,and get intoxicated again!! the baby and i are going sledding sometime,and my son is visiting his mother christmas day.Hope every one has a great one,and if I dont talk with ya here before then merry christmas!

I have Friday and Monday off and I plan on visiting my family, and THANK GOD this year I don't have to visit the in laws.

I wish I was skiing in Banff with Shakey but it looks like I'll be working all of the weekdays. Not too much of a holiday but hopefully I can use the overtime to take off for a while later on during the winter when places aren't so crowded.

I get to do nothing but be home alone with the 4 cats for both Christmas & New Years. The kids are in Florida with their mom til Jan. 6th, and my parents, well, my step Dad works both holidays every year, and my parents don't celebrating it anymore anyway (except they buy stuff for my boys which they got on Thanksgiving already). And I have no brothers or sisters. Been like this for the last 4 years since the divorce

Im going on a cruise with the family in the carribean area.    Being stuck on a boat for christmas isnt my idea of fun. At least there will be alcohol... lots of alcohol.

I will be stopping off at Jamaica for a day, so I will have to make the best of that

Work Saturday then Christmas Eve service at my church. Over to the parents' house Sunday morning to open presents with the family then back to work on Monday morning. Lots of fun...
