I just got through swapping my open rear for a known good 3.23 sure grip pumpkin,  after I pulled the axles out I went inside to do some more research and find that I was using the open 8 3/4 directions. After reading ahead I find the "sure grip axles" section and start reading that, well as it turns out it says in big bold letters "DO NOT rotate an axle shaft while the other is out"
Guess what, I did :brickwall:
It says if you do "it will necessitate a difficult realignment procedures when shaft is installed. I didn't have any trouble re-installing the axles and they seem to rotate smoothly.......... :shruggy:

Am I screwed here, if so, what is the logical way to proceed with getting this figured out??
Anybody know the "difficult procedure"??

Thanks for any help you can give, I appreciate it :2thumbs:

Just 6T9 CHGR

If the axles went in fine you'll have no troubles.   With the Sure-Grip, the splines where the axle slides into are "split".....meaning that the spider gear assy can rotate separately from the rest of the assy.

Hopefully I am explaining this right....if not Im sure someone else will chime in!
