Welcome, I had a 69 Charger. Good choice.  :2thumbs: Now, I drive a 71 Challenger. But they let me hang out here anyways.

Is there a story behind your decision?  Would love to hear it...
To make it as short as possible. Douche bad ex-husband, ran up bills, emptied bank accounts, etc.  :flame: Had to sell the 69 Charger and 70 Satellite Vert to pay bills. And they were both my cars.  :brickwall: I found and bought the Chally after the divorce. It's so nice to rub it in his face.  :D

Jackie,
Your story is almost a mirror immage of mine except it was my ex-wife that pretty much so did that along with some etc and then I had to sell the E-body 70 cuda I had around that time. Laster found and bought the Charger after the divorce and can now rub it on her face. Every once and a while when money gets tight she still tries to tell me that I should  sell it to help pay some of my bills. lol. Yeah like thats ever going to happen.

Anybody seen a -69 matching# charger for Veronika? Sadly enough it's not possible to register
it overthere if it isn't. I'm looking around here in Europe but the matching cars here are almost
all restored and way to expensive.

They only allow cars with the original engine?   :ahum:

Here is one in California that might be numbers matching:  http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/cto/1974405347.html

Shoot, here is a number matching R/T right on this site:  http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,73595.0.html

This is what you're gonna get for the $5000US price range  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-Dodge-Charger-Numbers-Matching-Big-Block-Car-/130436648891?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item1e5ea14fbb

This one is numbers matching also and its getting in the the $21,000US price already.  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-DODGER-CHARGER-R-T-SURVIVOR-MATCHING-NUMBERS-/280565715512?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4153051238

I think the second car i listed that is for sale on this site is the way to go.  but, thats me spending her money.  I was there once and i know its not easy to come up with a lot of cash.  Good luck and i'll keep my eye open for more.

Good luck. I have been calling that # for weeks (have an older listing in Bakersfield Ca) and they never pick up and when it gets bumped to voice mail an automated message says that they haven't setup their mailbox yet.  :brickwall:

Let me know if you get through. Maybe it's just me they don't like.  :shruggy: I have sent emails and called dozens of folks and never hear anything back. It's frustrating.  :flame: No one wants my money  :Twocents:

Mrs.Caveman

i was thinking about grinding the numbers down but they check it against u.s databases if it's legal or stolen!what if i comes back that someone is having that  engine which is suppos to be in mine!why do they change the engines by the way?i thought v8 are indistractable:)

squeakfinder

The first charger I got had the original V-8 (383). The motor was seized. I took it apart and discovered one rod torn off the crankshaft and another rod ripped out of the piston on the same lobe of the crank  I wish I would have taken pictures. What I'm saying is, nothing lasts forever. Especially if you run the engine out of oil.
