Here you go Knight.  Since there seems to be some clouded recollections regarding where people stood on issues similar to this, I pulled a couple of old threads that illustrate the point.  This certainly is not about 340 Six Pack cars, Concept vehicles or Mustangs.  Those subjects are totally un-related and additional attempts to deflect the subject at hand.  This is supposedly about people who try to perpetuate falsifying DMV production vehicles.  

Below are the threads where you can see the same alliances from some of the "Mopar police".  Instead of calling out those who perpetuate fraud, they try and deflect the topic and spin the information to protect their fraternal friends and cronies.  If you want to waste some more of your time you can skim through them.  You'll notice where they defend similar actions that they are now trying to crucifying you over.  It's obvious that not everyone "appreciated" when fraud was disclosed.......especially when it was their friends who promoted it.

ECS, you are one of few people on here who has posted something that makes sense or is helpful.  The part that nobody seems to get on here is that there NEVER was anything to show that the VIN had been swapped on this car.  The Holy Grail of proof is an ebay ad from 2007 where a mostly complete Charger was listed as a parts car in the parts car section.  The information that the VIN and fender tag were sold on ebay was FALSE, or at least has NEVER been presented.

And isn't the VIN and fender tag from a Hamtramck car? Coronets weren't built at Hamtramck. The only plant that built both '69 Chargers and Coronets was STL. Didn't you state in the e-mail to Chris the body numbers were 9G?

Doesn't that at least slightly suggest something fishy went on here?

Is it just the easily replaced upper radiator core support that has the G9 107228 stamping?  What's on the trunk lip?

Yea, makes you wonder how he came to that conclusion.    Seems to me if the VIN and tag show Charger and the body stampings say Coronet, both with different plant designations how it could mean anything other than that someone played cut and paste with multiple cars.

Lets just say that there are members on here who know of a certain stolen wing center, which car it belongs to and what the right thing to do is.  The "Mopar Police" certainly haven't tried to get to the bottom of that mystery have they?

WOW another interesting read. I am not sure what the problem is unless I am reading something wrong. Seems like the VIN was "flagged" and later showed up on a Charger with 1969 Coronet body stamps from another plant.  I would think that would be highly questionable???

I have a quick question...if the investigating officers would have called in a couple of MoPar experts with their past NICB connections such as Dave Walden and Barry Washington...would have the police impounded the car in question?

Or is there some sort of explanation that hasn't come to light yet? Am I missing something?
