Hurst shifter handle difference

Both of my shifters are 69'S and have the (slide in) type handle. Can you use a (bolt in) handle in a  slide  in shifter?
69 Charger 500, original owner  
68 Charger former parts car in process of rebuilding
92 Cummins Turbo Diesel
04 PT Cruiser

yes but not without some modifying. one base is larger then the other
