Ok.. it's more or less for Mom and I..  :icon_smile_big:
Julie, my 4-year old lil' mini-me, will be going to her 1st pre-K class tomorrow at a very nice Methodist program on Tuesday and Thursday. I'm a man of faith, so know the power of prayer... Please pray that Julie will not let the "scare" bug get into her. I took her last Thursday for the "Meet the Teacher and Class".. Well, she did great until we actually got into the classroom.. My poor lil' girl.  ;D
I just know she'll have so much fun once she gets used to it.. She'll be going with a friend of hers down the street.

We'll see....   :2thumbs:

I know....  Man... I get melancholy just thinking my little girl will be grown up one day and this is one small part to the process. But I also know, there are so many more wonderful age-related memories to be made....... (and not so wonderful I'm sure,  )

Does she have me wrapped around her finger........ :yesnod:  But, I won't let her know that........

Troy, another prayer sent to ya.  I feel for ya, I really do.  My girl is almost three, and I am already dreading the first day of school.  Ok, that would be the first day of school, drivers license, first date, wedding and anything else I can think of.  God willing we will be in a position where my wife will be able to home school so I would be able to remove that one from the list.  Be strong, it is difficult being a father of a little girl who has her daddy wrapped around her finger.   ;)  :2thumbs:

Good luck mate. She'll be fine but all growd up before ya know it.

Kenny Chesney says it well in his song Don't Blink

Don't blink
Just like that you're six years old and you take a nap and you
Wake up and you're twenty-five and your high school sweetheart becomes your wife
Don't blink
You just might miss your babies growing like mine did
Turning into moms and dads next thing you know your "better half"
Of fifty years is there in bed
And you're praying God takes you instead
Trust me friend a hundred years goes faster than you think
So don't blink
Gotta love a '69

She already knows, prayers said for both parent and child to make it through the first day of school. It is a hard day hemi68charger...and it doesn't get any easier...the next HARD one is when they turn 13...sigh...and doc...that song says it all...don't blink.
Trust your Woobie!

My twins turn 40 this month, and I feel the very same way.

Been there, done that (twice already....now in 1st and 3rd grade), but little man will be starting pre-school next year.
Julie, will be just fine, especially when she gets in there and starts making new friends.....and you and Mom will be just fine, too!  :2thumbs:

Prayer sent,

I love it!! Wow.....I have the same thing! My four year old is a mini version of me when I was young....except as a girl. Like you, I also totally love my daughter!!

Trust me Troy, I already survived three-year old pre school....she'll be fine!!!!

In fact, the sadest day isn't the first day of preschool - its the last day when they graduate! You'll be sad, but happy at the same time. They grow up fast.

For me its Kindergarten 2011!

46?? No problem. I'm 43 (years young)....and have an 11 year old, 4 year old, and 10-1/2 month old. That's why I don't have a bigger car collection! ha :icon_smile_wink:

Troy, You'll be fine. Shelby is 20 , now. And I'll never forget her 1st 2 weeks of pre-school. she cried everyday. But by the end of the year , the student teachers and children were crying because it was the end  of the school year.   :2thumbs: And now she hangs out with the DC.com guys at Carlisle .  :pity:   :smilielol: :smilielol:

I feel for ya Troy. My 'baby' is 21 and begins her senior year of college next week. I still don't know where the years went. Enjoy her while she's young, and treasure every year that goes by. It doesn't take long before they become adults, and it will probably occur before you're ready for it.

Troy... Prayers sent!  My little B starts 3-year old Pre-K very soon as well.  She's very excited and already knows her teacher, so part of that battle is over.  Like you, I rest very well knowing she is in a similar loving environment,  :2thumbs:  My oldest just started 2nd grade...  I still remember bringing her home from the hospital in the Super Bee like it was yesterday  :o Seven years in the blink of an eye!

Well,,, All of your prayers work !!!  She did great.. Got into Susan's car with her 4-year old son and off they went. I took off to the church behind them. Didn't want Julie to know I was there since I won't be part of the send-off ritual. Got there before they did, so I got to see her get out of the car with the help of the greeters.. Was able to take a decent video of her 1st day and the teacher in her class took a couple of pictures.. Love the one where she's looking up at the boy.. Looks like she's thinking, "He's cute"... Hey !!! wait a minute Julie !!!  :smilielol:
The other picture is with her and her older brother Jacob. He's about to get on his bus. Of course, she was hoping she would get on the big yellow bus too..........
