hi guys, its been a while,i want to put my factory air cleaner back on my car,it has an edelbrock torker 2 intake and holley carb, hood clearance is an issue, think i ll have to put some spacers between my k frame and chassis, think 10mm should be enough,is this safe?
cheers

You need to find a "drop base" bottom for the air cleaner.  Lowering that "K" frame is not a good idea.  It will compromise the strength and rigidity of the car at the "K" frame mounting points....Unless there is some aftermarket solutions I am unaware of

It will absolutely F-Up your steering and drivetrain geometry along with your fan shroud, torsion bars and a multitude of other stuff including the stuff from the post above.

Don't even think about  it ever again!

Ron (firefighter),,,dropped his K frame approx 1" to get some hood clearance on the Black Pig,,,,maybe he can chime in,,,,I dont think it caused any alignment issues with other components.....for him

The torker 2 will clear the stock hood with a drop base air cleaner....no problem. The K&N 1.25in drop with a 14x3 filter is what you want.

I dropped the k-frame on mine with 1in spacers....no problems. Many others have done this mod and it does work but you need to re-align the car.
