Galen drove it! The seller said so. Said so twice.

It's a "family treasure" (but they are quite happy to sell it!).

Actually, I really love the car, it would make a great stable mate for my Road Runner.
But not anywhere near that price, even if Galen drove it, got a fill up of gas, and washed and waxed it. ::)

$150 isn't going to happen.  If I had $150k and it was a choice between this or Troy's Daytona, it would be the 'tona.  I would guess possibly $100k in this market.
My name is Mike and I'm a Moparholic!

Sublime/Sixpack

I'd like to own the car if for no other reason than to correct the rattle can job on the radiator support, and the engine.

Sadly, even when prices were maxed out I don't think it would have gotten that sort of cash. I used to joke with my friend that I could toss a Hemi into my 318 68 Charger and sell it for more than his real 22k mile Hemi 68 R/T. That's honestly not far from the truth since, at the time, Hemi Charger clones were selling between 60k and 80k and Hemi Coronets were hovering in the mid-50s.

Galen almost looked at me once when I was driving by so my car probably doubled in price...

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

I like the car, but not at that price.   I noticed that the spare tire rim is painted body color.  That surprised me, because I thought the spare tire wheels were painted black at the factory.  Do you think this is correct, or was the wheel painted body color after it left the factory?

I also noticed that the front of the radiator support isn't blacked out.  I thought that all light colored cars were blacked out in that area.

I'm not trying to knock this car, it's beautiful.  I'm just trying to learn what is correct, because I own a '68 Coronet R/T that was restored a year ago.  Mines a 440 car, not a Hemi.

I'm not a 68/69 Coronet lover. In fact no one Coronet is on my taste, just 70, 57/58 ( Custom Royal package ) and 74 although is a sedan, but a 68 being R/T and an Hemi, is kinda a diff story and it could be on my taste...
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

Wow! Wow! Wow!

It has the uber rare 'hemi home decor package HM 426 Martha S'...................you tell by looking at the 'welcome' floor mat on the drivers side!

Now if only that mat came from Galens house the car would be worth ten times that amount! I wonder......

Just Wow!

Nice car, but if it was mine and came stripe delete.  It would be stripe delete as that would prove it more rare.  Love where Dodge put the side R/T emblems but not crazy about where the Hemi badge goes.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

When you got a Hemi you can put the badge where ever you want!   :icon_smile_big:

Galen looked over our '68 Coronet today and I asked him about the wheel color of the spare tire.  He told me that the spare wheel should be painted body color for cars with hub caps, and black for cars with full wheel covers.

That's beautiful, as is the white one.

That's not very far from what I would let it go at......  The market stinks.. A year ago, I got all sorts of replies/offers and that was at 165K. Now, nada.. Just got one offer for a B5 440 4-speed Superbird and cash. But alas, even with that, I wouldn't ultimately be able to get the Daytona I'm looking to get now..........
