ive get a wood from the black one,and the yellow-man they HAVE to build this thing

General_01

That looks cool. I don't know if I will be able to afford one, but I like it very much. The Curious Yellow would look cool sitting next to the '71. :icon_smile_big:

I just read on some other message boards that the new issues of Car & Driver and Motor Trend are out with pictures of the Challenger concept car.  Here are a couple of poor quality scans of two new pictures... surfing the other forums for more pictures and information.  I expect only the first subscription issues are out, and that newsstand copies will take a few more days or even a week to appear...

I sure hope chrysler is monitoring this forum. When (if) this goes into production i will part with my '00 Z28. The only reason I have it now is because Chrysler doesnt build anything like it.

I will definitely pick up a Black or Orange Challenger with a 6.1 Hemi if they build it   :yesnod:

This is the first thing from Chrysler that I have really been excited about in a long time. I dont really have any gripes about it at all! Beautiful machine! I showed it to a bunch of motorheads at work & they all loved it too (not all Mopar guys either) One guy said it looked too Mustang-ish, sorry I dont see that one at all. It's pure 71 Challenger re-done in my eyes. I'm crossing my fingers, but am, as one of my favorite presidents once said, being guardedly optomistic. C'mon Chrysler, take a decidedly un-German approach to this, the dividends will be impressive I bet. :yesnod:

So.  since Green and Brown were popular colors in the 70's, and black was scarce.  Should i order a green or brown one today and be the only guy on the road with one?

Here you go folks, let tptb hear your voice, it might be just as futile as asking for a new purdy charger but one can try !

I'd be very cautious about that link. It has one little icon saying Chrysler and asks you for a bunch of personal information?

I wouldn't do it.   :rotz:

If it makes you feel better just go to the main page http://www-5.chrysler.com, go to Contact us, new vehicle info and there you go.If you still feel it unsafe, you could fill out bogus info but you wouldn't get the very personal automated response  :D

Those pics you made xs29j8Bullit are awesome with the different colors and grills.

This new car is really awesome, I definately want one, my only criticism at all in my opinion, is the lower front grill.   I just don't like the smiling curves of the lower air intake below the grill.     It should be flatter, make the car look tougher, although it already looks dam tough.

Here are some I made with the lower air intake being   less curved up.

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

Time to raid the local newsstand for the February 2006 issues... So far I am hearing that Motor Trend, Car & Driver, Road & Track, and Mopar Action have the Challenger concept car... Here are a few scans from the Internet postings on other message boards.

"If retro worked for the mustang then why can't it work for us. maybe thats what chrysler engineers asked themselves before drawing up the Challenger concept car."

Dodge Challenger Concept

Muscle cars will continue to be a hot item with the Chrysler Group as it plans to debut the all-new Challenger concept. "This concept possesses the heritage and classic forms of the original Dodge Challenger," said Trevor Creed, senior vice president of design at the Chrysler Group. "However, the ability to use the Dodge Magnum, Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 series architecture as the concept's foundation allowed us to bring a new level of quality and fit-and-finish to a muscle car icon." This will be the first two-door car from Chrysler built on that platform. And, as one would expect, it should have a HEMI under the hood. In addition to the Challenger, the Jeep division will debut the all-new Compass. We expect much more than just these two vehicles from the Chrysler group, so for more details, return here the week of January 8, 2006, as MSN Autos provides full coverage on this new muscle car and the rest of the Chrysler news.

any one heard anything new on the challenger? I heard from one person online that their dad works for chrysler and was given some production papers and a 6.4 L will be an option . Also that the 6.1 should be in 13's and $35000
