I am disassembling my 318 for a rebuild and when I took off my heads there were valve reliefs in the pistons.  Are these stock pistons???  It's a '72.

if they look like this, then no they are not stock.
I'm pretty sure stock 318 pistons were just flat.

Yes!  They look identical to that, minus the casting #.  Thanks for sharing  :2thumbs:

I was told it was a stock engine, wonder what else has been messed with...

Finally got to the garage and took some pics.  Looks just like the one that 1bad68 posted.  Anyone know what kind of pistons these are?  I would assume if there's reliefs the piston should be closer to the deck to add some compression  :shruggy:

Those are Sealed Power pistons, I think they are rated at 8.5:1 compression.
