This is a true R/T -68 automatic, price 16000d

http://www.racingjunk.com/category/1488/Charger/post/1959057/1968-DODGE-CHARGER-R-T.html

This is a BB manual -68,price 20900d

http://www.justmusclecars.com/

I dont know anything about the history of the cars, is the prices normal for cars in that shape.

Thanks Petri

Velkommen forresten!

Thanks, i think also the first one is a better deal, a lot of new parts inside the car comes with it, some work one that car and it can be very nice.

I think those prices are normal for cars in that condition. But pictures can lie more than thousand words, so it is hard to say which one you should buy without seeing those cars live  ::)

If I were you, I would buy that BB manual because there are good pictures of it and it seems to be in very good condition if there is trusting to those pictures  I think that it´s cheaper to buy that kind of "ready" car than build that other to same condition as that other one is already  :scratchchin:

But if you buy that black one which owner is a member of this board, I´m pretty sure that you will get better information of history etc. of that Charger  :2thumbs:

It´s your choice  ;) I would still buy that little more expensive Charger only because it seems to be in very good condition already  :yesnod:

I have only two must do's when buying a used car.

1.   Do not, I repeat, do not buy a car unless you look at it yourself, or have a knowledgeable agent (i.e., a member here  ;) ) look at it for you.

2.   See # 1.

Pictures only go so far, and you need to look at areas of the car that the pictures don't show. Aside from that, if that 4-speed is as good as it looks (highly doubtful  :scratchchin:) I'd grab it at that price.

Good luck!

Terve Jani, olen suomalainen mutta asun ruotsissa.

Got over 100 pictures of that red one and it seems to be in pretty good condition,of course it has rust under and the frame rails at the back someone has welded on and in the trunk that has to be redone, and there is a hole in the machine room near the left fender in the front, difficult to deside which one is a better deal, the black one comes with a lot of new parts inside, paintjob isnt expensive here in sweden, the black one has rust on the same places,no problem for me to do the sheet work my self, the black you can fix under and then drive one summer like it is and then restore it some winter,i dont want a car that is too nice everywhere then i will be afraid to use it,the black one has a nice engine also,im waiting to get some more pictures of the black and then i can decide.

Petri.

Good luck, searching for a car can be exhausting, but its tons of fun as well.  :yesnod:

OH MY!

Looking at that second pic, if a person were to remove the undercoating I'm betting there wouldn't be much metal left.  It's thick there for a reason.  If the bottom looks like this, what's hiding underneath the shell?

RuN, Forest, RuN!!!

I never heard John mention any bad metal in his ride.  He's had it for quite a while as well.  I'm thinking he's selling cause he became frustrated not because the car is swiss cheesed.

I would have zero issues buying from him.  Besides...he's a cop.

What do you think about this car, does anyone know something about it, seemes like a pretty good car for that price.

Whats on the dash below the guages?  Some sort of radio station tuner?  I've never seen that before.
