Thought I'd post an update.  Have a few photos of the car being moved from one bay to another.  The motor will be running by the end of the week!  Little delay with the Charger as we're working on getting my Challenger ready for the Hot Rod Power Tour (lowering kit, 275/40 NItto's on all 4 corners and a hood wrap).

The Charger looks awesome in the sun light!

Oh BTW, I thought you might enjoy the new home I just leased with a buddy for the General (and a few of our other cars).  Can't wait to get a lift!

Can you say MANCAVE!   :2thumbs:

More progress, almost done....waiting on a few small parts and a few quarts of transmission fluid and she'll be ready to run!!

Bumper is only hand tight but it really make the front end look finished.  Still need to put the bumper guards on and of course the GL push bar.  Waiting until shes all tuned up so we don't have to lean over the push bar to make adjustments etc.

In an effort to keep with the original looking (non-aftermarket) theme, Josh had to retro fit an original radiator shroud to the aftermarket radiator.  Looks awesome IMO.

Just got a really nice pair of headlight bezels from a '68.  I should have them restored similar to the way I did the grille next week.  Although it's picky I think it will look more finished when the lights are on (doors open).

Looks great.. are you going to put the front bumperettes on?

I had then rechromed but I have a powder coated "General Lee" push bar that mounts via the bumper bolts and you can't use the buperettes.  At least for now.  When I get the "General" out of my system, I'll peal off the graphics and put the buperettes on with the black R/T stripe and 18" wheels.

So, we'll see how long that takes...two weeks or 2 years...HA-HA

Those will be the last thing done.  Once the car is tested and tuned properly, I need to take it back to the paint shop to fix a few minor issues and do the final polish.  Then she'll be ready for the General uniform.

Getting ready to go on vacation with Josh and our wives for a long weekend without the kids.  Before I go, I thought I'd post an update

Next week we'll get the headlight doors working (hope the actuators aren't bad), install the seats, console, steering column and go for a few runs to work out whatever bugs we find.  I can't wait to see how that 512cu full roller runs!  We're getting so close it almost doesn't seem real...

That thing looks AWESOME!!!! Keep up the great work!! Sounds killer too!!!!

Check out the custom flag my buddy got me for the Man Cave!  The car will be parked just under it.  A few more weeks to go.

Bobby41909

Put a lift in the Man Cave today so I have room for the General.  Fairly easy job and perfect vacation day.  Did it with Dad and had a few beers at the end.  Only thing that could of made it better is if the car was ready to put on the lift....

Can you tell we spilt a little hydraulic fluid...HAHA :smilielol:

Just about ready to drive....freakin brand new turn signal switch doesn't work right so I am waiting on another one or I would have posted a video of the car driving.  Oh well next weekend.

Here are a few pictures:
Push bar is on.  Nice powder coated version that bolts right to the bumper with rubber gasket so we don't scratch the finish.  Oh and the bumperettes work with this version also.

The interior almost finished (missing the steering wheel now until the turn signal swtich is replaced).

A few trunk pictures

Can't wait until next weekend!

I think you should beg, borrow, or steal a better camera. A car that nice deserves it.
