I was able to make my first trip to Reno for the "big show". We had a blast for a week, glad to have finally done it, (bucket list ) but don't know that I'll go again. Certainly great memories, and lots of pics.

Observations: it is Chevy country beyond anything I thought possible. 6000 official car participants and maybe another 3000-5000 cars just show up. Chevys are 85%, other GM 5%, Ford 5%, Mopar 2%, the rest 3%.  :o :o

There were more Studebakers than Mopar. More Nash Metros than Road Runners. More AMXs than Chargers. All great cars but there were only 200 Mopars out 10,000 cars. It is Chevy country. :icon_smile_dissapprove:

The Mopars there were fantastic and ruled the day, at every show and every cruise. The A&W sponsored a gathering separate from Hot August Nights, just for Mopar, the turnout was outstanding, nearly 100 in all. Thank you A&W!!!

I'll post what I think are the best pics of the standout cars and memories of the week.

The blue 67 Satellite is great, and what is really special is that the owner Lyle bought in 67 and still has it. At a show he posts the newspaper advertisement he did for the dealer back in 67. Awesome.

The Radio Flyer red wagon was incredible.
