What's the best way to change the rear crankshaftseal considering I have a windage tray? Is it
even possible to do without lifting the engine? I guess that the risc of having another leakis bigger
if done while engine still in car. :scratchchin:

I usually do them with the engine removed but it can be done in the car :

Thanks Ron but I hopefully, hopefully, hopefully, keep all your million fingers crossed that the oil is coming from the oilpressuregauge connection at the engineside. The area there is full of oil so it might be that it didn't start to travel down untill now when the "bowl in the block" was full.
Will get a plug at the store tomorrow and test, can't get that plastic tube back into the cone so I
will plug that one for now, still have the original oilpressuregauge and that one has worked so I should be safe for now.

lisle tool makes a rear main seal changing kit.  not sure how effective it is though.  tool is for changing old style rope seals and newer seals while engine is still installed on the car.

I'm very happy to conclude that the leak I thought was the rear crankseal was the plastic
tubefitting at the engineside for the aftermarket oilpressuregauge. :2thumbs:  :icon_smile_big:

autometer sells a kit to change that plastic tubing to copper, if you're interested.  :2thumbs:

Surely friend. It's like when the plastic tube has been warm once you can't reuse it,
it's to thick for the little cone. :scratchchin:
