Anybody ever hear of this before. I went out to lunch at 2:30. Come back at 3:00. Walk into the paint mixing room & my 2 spray guns I just cleaned & left there before lunch are gone. Ask all the guys in shop & everybody sez nobody has been in paint area (which is in seperate room)I tell the boss in office my guns dissappeared. He sez lets look on the video & see what happened. I didn't even know he had a video since I was only temporarly filling in for 2 days(today being the first day) The whole shop gathers aroundas we watch the video on 14 different cameras & 14 different angles. We fast forward thru it & see nothing. I feel like I'm in the twilight zone & have to question my own sanity. We go back to where I clean the guns & leave for lunch, all on video, we stay on camera in paint mixing room & watch waiting for them to dissapear. 2:59 with 1 minute to go & I think I must have been hallucinating. THEN, It happens, we see some scumbag pop into the doorway & grab my cheap $30 primer gun & leave. We say how did your $600 Sata Jet dissapear if he only grabbed the 1. Confused we watch him on back Camera & see how he just drives up to back door, jumps out & grabs my cheap gun, jumps back into car to drive away, But wait, he must of noticed it was only a cheap Primer gone so puts it in park, jumps back out of car & goes back once again for my better $600 sata jet leaving 2 other guns on the wall & not mine. As we see him Drive away you then see me Driving into parking lot. Just missed it all by 1 minute. :flame: :flame: :brickwall: :fu: :2guns: :pullinghair:  LEON.

sorry to hear that Leon. When I came home from leave, when I first joined the Navy, all my air tools(IR) that my *buddy* was keeping for me along with my box were gone.  If that wasn't enough, my 69 Roadrunner was gone as well.  He said it was stolen but found out years later that he sold it.
Sorry for your troubles.  :rotz:

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Could see the plate on back of his car but was to far away & blurry. Real bummer is as he was heading out the mixing room door got a real close up good shot off his face but the mixing room has a motorized ventilation system that shakes that one certain camera, So even though we get a good view of the small room it's always shaky & blurry. The other views just not good enough for good identification. Car looked like a dark blue pontiac bonnville 4 door (or similar) missing entire grill. I'll be looking for it & my Gun on ebay. :brickwall:  LEON.

Sorry to hear it man, check pawn shops and of course craigslist.

Well I just found out some puss wad stole my son's 200.00+ BMX bike from the front porch, he has a lock and chain around a small tree by there but didn't lock it...... :rotz:     God help them if I find out who did it.

Sorry to hear about the theft. What the He$$ is it with some people.  :RantExplode: Take a look on craigslist and ebay over the next few days and see if they turn up. It's too bad that we all know that the police are not going to be much help.

Seems odd that you took lunch at such an odd hour and for such a short window and they hit the place at just the right moment. I wonder if they were watching the place. Are they going to start locking the place up now?

All the police can do is check pawn shop log's like they do on a regular basis. They laughed at me when I asked would they be looking out for my Jeep.

SAd thing is, even if your guns turn up, unless you have a serial number, or have them marked in some way, you will never be able to claim them.

The70RT

That sucks Leon.

Yeah but at least he will know who has it and go over and pay less or take a buddy and just take it back. He could say you were on camera and I am leaving with it or Im call the cops. Especially if the same turd car is where the guns at.

Gun was marked, sorta, The pin hole in cap got clogged when I tried to clean it with that thin wire you get in gun cleaning kit, wire broke off in hole. I drilled it out, Now has one huge hole on one side, I thought the huge hole would mess up the fan but still seemed to spray the same. This hole in cap a big giveaway my gun. LEON.

Sorry to hear about that man, but for future, I'll give you guys a tip, I've had my fair share of thieves working at my shop stealing over $4k in my Snap-on tools, I got fed up with it, so now every tool is engraved with my name, my business name and a short note " IF IN PAWN,PLEASE CALL 759-4155 ", every socket, wrench, extension has my business name on it, it took me a weekend to go through all my tools, but if some will disappear, there is a chance I'll get it back

Did anyone ever consider that someone in the shop got that guy to steal the gun for them? I mean it sounds way too coincidental that all happened in that short period, and that he actually grabbed one then came back and took the other, kinda like he had been told which gun he was supposed to get. My bet is one of those guys in the shop now has a nice gun in his garage that he uses for side jobs.

I have been very fortunate to never have tools stolen in my 37 years doing collision repair but I have lost my share of them. :'(
