You could cut it flat behind the air grabber door opening, paint it, put a HEMI nameplate on the back and mount it to the wall flush against the ceiling like it was disappearing into the ceiling......

You could find a good air grabber hood that someone has improperly stored on the back corners. Then you could salvage the corners off yours and make one nice one! :2thumbs:

You could have it cryogenically preserved and maybe after they find a way to bring John Wayne and Walt Disney back to life they can turn their attention to metal dis-oxidation.

guys...all you need to get that hood in tip-top shape is a time machine.  just go back to whenever Cletus and Clem left it in the mud, and take it.  voila!
