I just installed the right torsion bar and pushed it all the way into the LCA (gave the bar a little grease coating in the front and also in the back). Gave it a smack with a hammer too. Now the torsion bar is about 1/8" behind the groove (meaning in the hole) for the torsion bar clip - is this right or should the clip touch the bar?
I use poly bushings so my thought was that the further in the better (to prevent the LCA from sliding on the shaft). Should I leave it that way or maybe fabricate a hex shaped 1/8" thick plate so that the bar is locked into its current position and can't move the 1/8" back?
