WHITE AND RED 69

So my charger was off the road for the last month due to a gauge cluster restoration (which started as just a speedometer repair  :brickwall: ) and I just had to get some photos of it since its been a while. It felt good to have it back on the road after seeing it sit for the last month.

Here are some shots of the gauges. It started that I was just going to repair the speedometer and then it turned into changing everything. I'm happy with the way they turned out but it took way too long thanks to crappy repair companies and me adding new things. The first guy that was going to repair the speedometer took a week only to tell me that he couldnt do the repair so that was a big waste of time. So I sent my speedo to Shannon at redline gauge works and they did a great job. I highly recommend Redline, they are easy to deal with and have a quick turn around time. I wish I would have sent my whole cluster to them but I wanted to do some things myself. My tach came from charger specialties and I changed everything to white face, added LEDs, and a new dash bezel from BEA (pricey but well worth it).

I got a new bezel from BEAparts.com. I tried painting my old one but it just didnt look right, the new one looks so much better.

My seats are the corbeau gts II. I got them from a local shop that ordered them for me. Much more comfortable than the old stock ones.

I'd like to possibly use a pic of that for my next Charger calendar with your permission but do you have it in jpeg format? Unless there's a way I don't know of to save a bitmap file that's not microscopic.

Very nice car. :2thumbs: I had trouble last time getting the body lines of the white cars to show up very well in the reprint calendar pics but maybe this one will work.

That's a fine lookin' '69.  Nice job.

Back in '84 I bought my first Mopar, a '68 Coronet R/T.  It was all white.  There was a '69 Charger in town like yours with burgundy interior, member Brad owned it.  I really, really liked that car so I bought my '68 & added a red Bee stripe.

Ah, here it is, I hot linked it.

Love the car.  It is one of the sweetest Chargers I have seen in a long time, you did a great job.  I will admit, I was hoping to see red interior in it, but the black looks great too.  :2thumbs:

I have to admit.  I don't usually care for white cars, but every aspect of your car blends perfectly together.  Wheels, interior, guages and ofcourse the tail stripe.  One of the nices chargers I've seen in a long time.  :yesnod: :drool5:

I got the decals off ebay from a dealer in Canada. Item #300325681492 on ebay by the seller 01generalleehemi. $25 bucks for for all the gauges and the odometer wheel. The Tach was silkscreened white by Russ at Charger specialties but only the outside part. The inside I made my own out of the extra decals that I got off ebay. they are easy to install, its just cleaning off the old gauges so it has a good surface to stick to.

Got any other shots of how that B&M sits in the console?
I been thinking to fit a console in my Charger instead of the buddy seat but wondered if I could somehow incorporate the Quicksilver shifter in there.
Yours looks great from that pic.

I got lucky the way mine fit, as I put the shifter in way before the console. I put the B&M shifter as far back as possible with the buddy seat in so I had to fit the console around the shifter. If you do them at the same time it will fit a bit better than mine. At first I was going to cut the top plate to make the B&M plate to fit into it but when I put in the console in all I needed was to slide the console back a couple inches and I wouldnt need to modify the top plate. So I cut about an inch out of the plastic underneath the plate and it fit right against the shifter bracket. The only other modification was I cut apart the indicater lense holder so the shifter could move without hitting anything and cut the black plastic slider piece that the shifter fits through and it all worked out. The only bad part is the shifter light wont fit where it should be and the shifter doesn't line up perfectly with gear indicater but its close and works well enough for me.

I have the same shifter and fitted it exactly where you did.
I think I can even get my hands on a console locally too so I may as well give it a shot, since they wouldn't license my car as a 6 seater here anyway.
Cheers
Paul

ps. Are you planning to leave the column shift gear indicator on there?
It's fairly simple to remove. Only took me an hour or two and looks great.
