By using these #'s, and the fact that I'm running 275/60/15's on a 10" wide rim, what would you say I'm running for gears:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1st

15 MPH - 1800 RPMS
20 MPH - 2300 RPMS
25 MPH - 3000 RPMS
30 MPH - 3500 RPMS

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2nd

25 MPH - 1800 RPMS
30 MPH - 2000 RPMS
35 MPH - 2400 RPMS
40 MPH - 2600 RPMS
45 MPH - 3000 RPMS

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3rd

30 MPH - 1800 RPMS
35 MPH - 2000 RPMS
40 MPH - 2100 RPMS
45 MPH - 2300 RPMS
50 MPH - 2400 RPMS
55 MPH - 2500 RPMS
60 MPH - 2800 RPMS

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These were clocked against a GPS that is VERY accurate to determine my speed.

I'm just curious, because I've had a couple of guys telling me lately they are running 3k @ 60MPH and run 4.10's.

WOW that's very cool.. Thanks for the link.. Looks to me like I'm running 3.91's not 3.54's, but we'll see this week.

you could do the old count the revolutions of the driveshaft method.  ;D
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

The verdict is in... 3.73's...  Thanks for the help, but the only reliable method of testing confirmed this.  :2thumbs:

Rolling_Thunder

thought it would have been closer to 3.91 ?  given the numbers you posted
1968 Dodge Charger - 6.1L Hemi / 6-speed / 3.55 Sure Grip

2013 Dodge Challenger R/T - 5.7L Hemi / 6-speed / 3.73 Limited Slip

1964 Dodge Polara 500 - 440 / 4-speed / 3.91 Sure Grip

1973 Dodge Challenger Rallye - 340 / A-518 / 3.23 Sure Grip

Same here since the info pointed to a 3.91 and 3.73's are not used often, Brian Snausheges runs 3.73's but thats in a Dana.

That's the same RPM my Chevelle runs at 60 MPH with 3.73's and a 275 60 15 rear tire.

The calc sheet shows 3.91 so if you have 3.73 your tacho might be a little off.......something that is very common!
Since we only live once, and all this is not just a dressed rehearsal, but the real thing............ Well, enjoy it!!!!
