The ones from Resto Rick (he advertises on Moparts) are the most correct looking, but there are others out there on ebay and others that dont look quite factory that do the same job for less money. It just kind of depends on whether stock apearance is important in your case.

Cheaper ones : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MOPAR-B-BODY-TORQUE-BOX-SET-CHARGER-GTX-ROAD-RUNNER-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem5ad4944a3cQQitemZ390113544764QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

I think there are some places selling them even cheaper ,but I cant find them right now.

There is no reason not to put frame connectors and torque boxes, unless you want to keep the car 'as delivered'. I installed both US Cartool frame connectors and front and rear torque boxes.

I had autorust.com in RI put torque boxes and frame connectors on mine and it made a nice difference with the 500. I think he ships them all over. I would recommend you look into them if you can.

Are torque boxes/sub frame connectors necessary if you just want a cruiser (383 with an auto tranny and a lumpy cam)? There won't be a desire for me to do high power launches off the line

Not necessary, especially with the 'small' motor and auto trans, street tires.

Beyond the insurance against twisting with a big motor and slicks, I installed them to give the car a better road feel.

Tan Top, Did you have to cut the floors to install the A R T frame connectors or do they fit under the floor?

all i cut was the lip of the floor ( see picture ) not mine , only picture i could find on Ebay)  , could mount the connector slightly lower , but i wanted it as tight as possible  , no part of the connector is in side the car
if you need a better picture , i'll  take a better picture of mine  tomorrow  ,  :yesnod: :2thumbs:
