What books to buy

I have a fsm on a cd i also found the big block mopar book but there is a big block performance book do i need both or would the first one cover what the second does also what other books would come in handy working on my charger?

A lot of it depends on your goals with the car but if you have the fsm and this website then you are off to a pretty good start.  Your best bet is to just jump in there and start getting greasy.

well i have no idea if the 440 runs supposedly it did when pulled but the gear on the camshaft was chipped i am considering a stock earlier rebuild maybe a bigger cam but thats about it someday im planning on going all out on the motor but if i did that now the car would never get done haha

Andy F mopar engines book I think is one of the best. Not a personal experience, just by what has been said. He is one of the "creators" I think of the BB stroker with RB crank. Wrotte up the "451 manifesto"

Direct Connection book is a good guide too ( P4120792 ), wrotte from Chrysler techs, but its a "little bit" outdated ( of course... its a 80s book ). Includes everything Car Performance related, not just engines. Includes 4 cilinders cars.

The good on this book, is states how to match car parts ( engine, tranny, suspension ) for performing, using MP parts, according with your car use purpouse. Spokes MP language

they appears quite often at ebay, ( used of course ), not excesivelly expensive. I got mine on $20
