1970 Dodge Challenger question

Just bought a 70 Dodge Challenger.It is a Original sublime green slant six car.Was wondering if anybody has any idea how many of these were produced?Bench seat column shift.It also has a extra tag attached to the fender tag that has what looks to be like an H punched in it.Any ideas?One more question.There was a dodge dealer in San Francisco on Mission Street where this car was purchased new in 1970 does anybody know what the name of it was?

Can't be too many with a high impact color on a slant six car with a bench seat. The bench seat probably makes it rarer than the color and engine combo.

I have a Sublime 1970 Challenger too but it came with a 340. My slant six Challenger had almost no options but it at least had bucket seats and a console.

Yeah?..  Far Out! My mom bought her silver '62 Dodge Lancer at that dealership, Though i was only five years old I will never forget that day... she bought a demo. car as I recall.

They moved "Albera Brothers Inc" to 2860 16th St. San Francisco, California, 94103 (about 10 blocks down Mission St.) around the early '70s where it was in operation as a Chrysler/GEM dealership till it closed about a Yr. ago. I was friendly with the Son of the original owners, he owns a 1972 Challanger Ralley, all Black with a pumped up 360. i posted pics of it here about four or five years ago they had a completly original '58 Chrysler New Yorker in the show room that really Jazzed the place up.

James Nicholas Albera December 2, 1933 - July 20, 2008 Passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on July 20, 2008. Jim is going to be missed by many people, as he lived a life filled with many successes and adventures. Jim was the son of Joseph and Frances Albera; and brother to Joe. Jim grew up in Daly City. He went to Jefferson High School. After graduating, opened Albera Brothers Chrysler Jeep in 1963 with his brother Joe. Both retired after 45 years. He enjoyed traveling and hunting.

Not sure on the production #'s. But really odd combo. I'm sure Alaskan T/A  will chime in and help you out.

Barry just had a garage sale and is moving to pennsylvania, he already shipped out his T/A   I wish him luck on his move  as this island  can get on your nerves.  He will have a much better life there amidst all the cars and shows  that are nearby. From up here flying to all the shows he has gone to is soo blasted expensive, Alaska Air  is the only  way out  and their prices are outrageous.He built a really cool house  thats up for sale.

The bench seat was an extra cost option on these cars. 

The tag with the H is an inspection tag, you car was evidently inspected by "H" - whoever that was.

Did you get that off craigslist in Portland or Seattle? I kept seeing one like that on CL around here.
