I gotta believe there are MANY good singers/songwriters/musicians in their 20's or 30's that haven't had the big break she's had.
Personally I don't think she's got that great of a voice....

Yes she's classed as country, like many others who aren't really country, but have been stuck in the category due to lack of a more appropriate genre to describe them. eg Rascal Flats
She does blend in with the other artists they play on my local country station though.

Taylor Swift's fame and popularity are a direct result of that IDIOT Kanye West.  Sure she was popular before he bum rushed her award acceptance @ MTV, but because of that MORAN K West, she became America's Sweetheart.  She's talented, and her voice is nice, but so was a young Alicia Keys (who also wrote her owns songs and arrangements @ the age of 16).  The difference is that people respected Alicia Keys and never did to her what K West did to Taylor. 

Taylor Swift owes her 4 of her 5 million plus fans to that idiot Kanye West  :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame:
