Some of you new guys may not know CudaKen.  He introduced me to this site.  He is not doing well and is unemployed at this time.  The 68 Road runner his dad bought new is still sitting in the driveway, it has not moved in over 2 years now.  I told him he should come back on the site, but he said his Mopar fire was gone.  I let him drive the Daytona and I think the fire is dim but not gone :cheers:

He still had his trains set up in the garage and some stereo equipment but I wouldn't say he was in to anything.  I will tell him you guys said hello.  I will try to get him to post on the site.

After all the things Ken went through with his Mopars, Only a real die-hard Mopar nut would still love them the way we do.
Ken has had more than his share of bad luck, and I do miss his cryptic chats and posts (Still have my decoder ring somewhere...next to the cam2).
Anyway, if you can respark his interests, maybe he will realise we are all still here and he is MOST welcome on this site, anytime he wants to post.

Old Moparz

I remember how long he tried to get the blower motor going only to be disappointed in the end. It's easy to lose interest when there is a major setback, it happens to a lot of us. His body work posts were helpful, & I enjoyed Ken's posts. Sorry to hear he's not working, but hopefully things will change for him as well as a few others who have disappeared from the site.

I don't think I ever met you Danny, but I remember one of your cars was parked in the driveway for a long time when we worked on my 68.  Stuarts picture of the R/T (Rusted Trash) as Ken called it.  was taken at the Greenville car show,  Ken won the under construction class.  That was the first last and only time I got Ken to go to a show or cruize.  The blue 68 next to it was my 68 that is heading to G-man.  It got 2nd in the Mopar class.  I tried to get Ken to go to monster mopar that year, but he would not go.  This year i am entering the Daytona and the hauler so I will have an extra pass to offer Ken.

stopped by today in the Wanna Bee, we talked mopars even went out and checked the fluids in the RR.  I think I may be getting him to try to get the thing started.  The fire is dim but still lit.

Well Allen is working on me, I am not sure if he can get the Mopar Fire Blazing again. But there is still a faint glow in there.



Looking under the hood of Miss Lumpy today was a little depressing. But the good news is the block has not cracked after sitting God for 5 years with out being started. Main problem is the steering box has gone bad and sprays fluid all over the engine bay. Allen and I where talking about how easy it is to replaces one of them! brickwall

Far as what broke my spirit? Well that cursed Blower Motor project did nothing to help! It had more miles in the back of Dodge Pick Up than under the hood of my Charger. Biggest thing was the AMX I did the body work on for a guy I met. That is a long story that I will not get into details about. Lets say it cost me $300 to do the body work.

Still into HO Trains, when they break I don't need a cherry picker. Garage is taken up by the layout.

By the way Allen, we went to Greenville 2 times. The first time I still had the 42sick in the Charger, the second time was with the ill fated 440.

Well lets see if any of the Pictures work, it been a while.

Welcome back Ken!  I tried for hours to get you to go to the site yesterday, but you wouldn't have it.  I have some running to do this afternoon.  Maybe when I am done I will drop the top on the Challenger  :icon_smile_big: Three different Mopars in three days might help with that fire.  I didn't remember ever going to the church cruize in edwardsville until you showed me the pictures.  They say the mind is the second thing to go.  I forgot what was first to go :nana:

Well, Knowing the luck Ken has with Keyboard Thingies....maybe a while between posts.
Ken, if you get a chance, drive on up the the Mopar Natls. im sure there will be a few dodgecharger.com member milling around.
You know we like to help whenever we can, sometimes them big projects just drag us down, but dont let that Blower issue extinguish the flame, a Mopar with ANY motor in it is better than a brandX any day (well unless you pull a Tokyo Drift and drop a Nissan lump in a classic body).

This thread reminded me of where I was when I "met" cudaken.  It was 10 years ago (seriously), and we were on the previous version of this site.  Ken was one of the very few members here who was around before I was.  He was also one of the first to welcome me to the site with his characteristic humor, and I immediately took it the wrong way and snapped at him.  We figured it out and later on, he even helped me buy a '68 Coronet.  Can't believe it's been ten years. :P

Anyway, welcome back cudaken.  Thanks for your insight and your help over the years, and I hope you won't be a stranger.

All so got to watch the Want A Bee not start as well! Yep, that reminded me how much fun old car's can Bee.  :icon_smile_big:

One thing I need to do besides cleaning the garage is thank you all for the kind words. It is nice to have been remembered kindly after all theses years.

Maybe after the kitchen floor done (Allen, she does nothing but complain about the dust, I wished I never started it) and get a good job I can think about getting Miss Lumpy going again. She and I have been together for some time after all.

We don't need much money to at least get her running.  I have some plugs a carb if need be and oil.   Change the oild drop rinse and reinstall the gas tank or even run a tube from a can.  She used to run strong.  I bet we could at least here her run a no time at all,  As for the dust, if she didn't have that to complain about she would find something else. :nana:
