Out of control chevy guys with too much time and money. Called the 789, it's a vehicle built from 57, 58, and 59 Chevys on top of a Corvette chassis. Base price $80,000. Apparently they have sold them as fast as they build them. :rotz:

Man, I'm a mix on feelings on this one. Half of me likes it yet the other half doesn't kinda..  :-\

Funny, I thought that thing was pretty ugly when I saw pics of it about a year ago.  I thought "Interesting craftsmaship, but who the hell would actually buy it?"

(And that $80K isn't even including the underlying Corvette!  They're charging $80K just to put those fiberglass panels onto it!)

I'll bet a Viper-chassis-to-E/body conversion would be popular.

Definitely unique. I don't care for corvettes but If I had to have one I think I'd rather have one like this than stock.

QuoteThe entire project will come in at$139,500 including the Corvette. Supply your own car and add $80,000 for the new plastic surgery.

if it was really a one off at a show I'd think pretty clever,..
but, as an expensive Kit Car I lump it in with the Ellenors as in a "I wrote A REALLY BIG CHECK" kinda' car...   :shruggy:

Saw one here in Des Moines this morning where it's a 67 split window conversion onto the modern car..  Looked ok, but just not really quite right.

I don't care if it's mimicking the rear end of a classic.  Some classics were Fugly.
