Cam shaft question

I rode in a Charger last weekend that had the engine built identical to mine.  500 stroker, a Comp Cam Xtreme energy .545 duration at .050" of 241 on the intake and 247 on the exhaust, and Doug's Headers.  He has a Holley 770 Street Avenger, Edelbrock RPM, automatic, 3 inch TTI exhaust, and 3.23 gears with 295/50/15.  Mine has a Holley 850 DP, Indy dual plane, 4 speed, 2 1/2 inch exhaust, and a Dana with 3.54 and 325/50/15.

The car had lots of torque and was very impressive.  It didn't lope like I thought it would.  I have not broken my engine in and have the front of the engine off changing out the water pump. We had both used a not to be named companies water pump and he had cooling problems on break-in, he switched to Mancini Racing's water pump with the not to be named companies housing and it cool's fine, which is why the front of my engine is off.

I'm thinking of swapping cam's to Comp Cam's .564 251 degrees of duration at .050" on the intake and 257 on the exhaust, these are ground on a 110 degree lobe separation angle.

Looking for thoughts and opinions on my idea of swapping cams...
