Which wheels?

Street Lite
S71
Telstar

Personally, I think a lot better wheel choices are available than the three you picked (don't hate me...you asked ;))....but given those choices it would definately be choice #1. :yesnod:

The S71s are also available black anodized, but I have concerns about how well the anodizing will hold up in the real world.

Yes, the spokes are open on the Street Lites.

I hate this cocktease crap

Will "it" be at the Nats?

With any luck, yes. Here's a peek.

The Street Lites are very cool, but as Tan Top said, they are more modern than the Telestars which would be cool and old school too.  The Street Lite spokes are not hollow, they are recessed.  My brother has them on his car and you can see it better in the pic below. Wheel choice is def. the hardest decision.  I have Torq Thrust II's, which I like, but lots of people run them.  I have been thinking about a change.

I have considered the eliminators... even found a pretty good deal on them. Think I'm going with the Telstars though.

I like the Steet Lites, but they show just a little too much brake (or lack thereof).

I was able to get a good deal on a pre-owned unused pair of 15x7 Telstars for the front.

Had planned to order a set of the rears direct from Center Line ($189 + shipping), but they are 2-3 weeks out. Not what I wanted to hear when I'm planning to drive the car to Columbus for Mopar Nats.

I saw Summit Racing has them in stock, so I called to asked them to match Center Line's price.  Summit had the same wheels listed for $279 ea.... 90 bucks more. After some negotiation.... SCORE! And Summit's shipping was only 12.95 on the pair where Center Line wanted $50! Double SCORE!

Came across another potential problem along the way. BFG T/As in the 235 60 15 size are on back order EVERYWHERE I checked. The work around for that is to run the new Mickey Thompson S/T radials. Just a few bucks more. I ordered a set from Summit.

In about a week, I'll unveil the whole package.

I see just as many Telstars as I do Magnums, Torq Thrust or Cragars out here, not sure on the logic there.  Was it those wheels that were cracking here a while back?   :shruggy:

I actually rarely see Telstar wheels -  although a lot of people mix them up with the Weld stars...   which are different.    :2thumbs:

I think you'll like the Telstarts on your 71+ B-body -  guy out here has the 17" ones on a 71 Satellite and it looks good -  I like the traditional 15" myself...      :2thumbs:

Don't see many Telstars at all... not on Mopars anyway. Weld Prostars and various Prostar knock offs?... yes.

No cracking issues on Telstars. American Racing Trackstar S/Ss on the other hand had issues and have since been disco'd.

Telstars are stronger (than Torq Thrusts), much lighter (esp Cragars) and (IMO) better looking than those you listed.

I had the 17's on my 71 GTX. Wish I'd never sold them. Got a smoking deal on them that I can't come close to touching now, so 15's it is.
