Hello, I'm restoring a '68, and I was wondering..does anyone know if they sell a replacement panel for the rear end..I suppose it would be considered a rear crossmember..it sits directly behind the rear valance panel..the ends of mine where it meets the quarters are both completely rusted/gone ..Anyone know if they sell an aftermarket replacement for this? Don't recall exactly, but the rear bumper I think mounts to it...It's been a year or so since I last looked at my car (due to moving, and other such crap) ..

Any help would be appreciated..

Thank you,

Chris

I bought these "reinforcement" pieces from Ebay (I think). Pretty sure they are AMD. I think they're meant to go on top of your old crossmember but you can just splice them in too. They are a bit thicker. Cheaper than buying the whole panel. Here's my before and after pics:
If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is.

Those plates are for a 68-70 Coronet or Runner. They go on top of the crossmember on those cars for bumper support strength. They will fit behind the valance on a Charger when used in place of the X-member ends like you have done.
