Maybe talking about the Dana 61.  :shruggy: Used in trucks in the 70s and 80s, allowed for taller gear ratios (like 3.00) for better mpg.

Since the car was originally a /6 it probably still has the 8 1/4" it came with originally.

I have heard the term "baby Dana" used to describe anything but a Dana 60 that doesn't have a dropout 3rd member.

They also made a smaller Dana 44 found in Jeeps, ect. LEON.
