The guys at the Dyno shop did a great Job.
http://www.speedfreaksinc.net/   Tracy, California
They installed an O2 Bung in the exhaust system just before the X pipe to get a good Air Fuel mixture reading, Re-jetted the front 2 barrels in the carburetor and drilled out the plate in the back of the carburetor installing springs and jets for the back 2 barrels. The vacuum advance pod on the distributor was causing 30 degrees of fluctuation in the timing. They worked on the Charger all day and only charged me for 3 hours.

When all was said and done the Charger Dyno’ed at 242 Horses and 314 Ft-Lbs of Torque at the wheels.

Here are a couple videos of two Dyno runs.

I’ll post the Dyno graph when I get an electronic version.

how much did all of that dyno work cost you?

ChgrSteve67

$130.00 an hour, 3 hour Max (they spent over 6 hours on her)
$40.00 for the O2 Bung
$15.00 Jets and Springs.
+Tax

Just over $450.00 when all was said and done.
And worth every penny.

I know it would cost me a lot more money later if I drove around with an improperly tuned motor.
and after spending $3000.00 rebuilding her I would be crazy not to spend the money on the Dyno.

Also, by the time they were done with tuning they increased my Horse Power by 35 and eliminated all of my hesitations.
The old gay really jumps off of the line now.

That's almost the same exact setup I have; except I have a 727 tranny and I opted for Summit mufflers instead of Flowmasters. Our numbers are very close too, although yours are a little bit higher...I'm at 230 hp and 290 torque (I'm guessing that's because of the different transmissions). Your car looks great!

good numbers for street car

:iagree: Keep in mind this is a 383....those #'s would be respectable for a 440 ! Good work Steve, there's allways power to be found on the dyno....looks like they found it and then some   :icon_smile_big:

I don't see anywhere what type of dyno, although that print-out looks to be from the Mustang software.

Those Mustang Dynos are pretty tight when compared to a Dyno Jet.

It was a mustang dyno.

The top of the report didn't scan well so I cut it off.
