I have run into an "issue" and need some advice.  K-member needs some repair where it mounts to the frame.  I can weld some support in there pretty easy I think.  My main concern is on one of the lower control arm mounting points.  One side is OK but there other it appears the sleeve where the lower control arm pin goes through the K frame came out with the Pin.  Can a piece of tubular steel be welded in there?  I can take a picture to better explain if needed..  Dave

Thanks Ron, Here are my questions:  My car has the spool type motor mounts and Oval frame mounting points.  Will the 72 K-Frame mount with the proper frame bushings?  No fitment issues with the block type mounts?  Thanks, Dave

NOTHING of the 72 and earliers subframe/suspension will fit on a 73 and lates.

Dang....that bites !  :P

Maybe Dave could send his K-frame into Firm Feel for some TLC ?  :scratchchin:

Yes, TLC is a better idea.

OR... I think 73 and lates owners are already with tubular K member and suspension options on market

Thanks guys for the input.  Who sells the tubular K-Frames?  I may end up having to repair this one.  Dave

I don't remember. They were allways available just for earliers, BUT I think already laters kind floated on around 2 years ago, or so...

Hi HDcharger,
I live in AZ, have a K-frame out back of the house, out of a 1974 b-body S/B. Its a AZ part and it is like new. All you have to do is come and get it. But if you have the $, putting a very nice tubed K-frame on your charger would really be the  better of the two. This is just my spin on the topic.

Good Luck, Steve

Thanks for the offer Steve, unfortunately, I live in Alabama.  I will try to either repair this one or find one locally.  Here is a couple pics of what I am up against.  Dave
