Looks great, but I have to say Im not a big fan of the "Magnum" call outs on the sides. To me they seem kinda out of place. I wouldnt turn it down by no means tho. :2thumbs:

I agree.  The car looks great. . . . the decals.  :-\  But hey, it's your car, can not please everyone.

I've always had a soft spot for a 78-79 magnum cars , hands down one of the if not the best driving cars I've ever had.
If the right car came along in black or red with red interior and T-tops , I might be tempted

Lose the decals... and let some air out of those shocks.

well, we can start about I DON'T LIKE DAYTONAS LOL... average, I don't like winged cars. and yes, sorry, I think suits better on it than on a Daytona... matches better the front clip body shape... like this ---> /  ( at least headlights ) then pillars /, then wing /,

and the rear clip with this V shape, something like an arrow

/  <---- wing
\  <---- tail panel

on a Daytona you have the Nose like this < ( maybe effective but still ugly ) than doesn't match with ANYTHING on the car, plus the straight cut on tail panel, nothing related with wing beside just the A pillars

sorry, I began studing architecture at University, and I allways think on design stuff.

I'm not saying would do it, BUT still think suits better

I like it AND the decals.

I also like it with the obnoxious wing, kinda matches the slope on the headlights, and 3rd gens are way better wingless.

But I wouldn't take my opinion if I were you. I order pizza with spinach, mushrooms and anchovies.

Thanks for all the compliments guys! :2thumbs: I took her to Dyersville over the weekend to meet James best and Ben Jones.I parked in the parking lot next to where the car show was and people were taking pics of the Magnum! I never entered it so it was a nice feeling to see them hanging around it taking pics! On the way home we heard a loud noise, my vinal top came unglued and popped up like a big dome! Now I don't know if I'm going to paint it or re vinal it :shruggy:...It was funny cause we wondered why people were looking at us funny on the interstate :smilielol:. As for the decals they are staying and no not going to let the air out of the shocks! It sits just wright! :yesnod:

Your wheels look real good on it.  Nice ride.  Are you running a Ford truck Dana?

Yeah Natcho It's a green S.B. the Wheelchair bound owner fabbed up so he could still roll in and drive, somehow. I've only seen one picture of it, but the "Wing Nuts"  :icon_smile_big: might have more pictures of it, I for one would like to see the drivers' controls and that Plymouth is a true testiment to the lenghts a real MOPAR nut will go to drive his beloved musclecar. Gotta' love someone willing to keep on truckin' no matter what adversity befalls them.  :yesnod:
But Natch, If you request Pics of that SB better do it over there you don't really want to call attention to this thread here - where you compleatly disparage all the wing cars and say that Magnum looks alot better, Do you?..

and in that way I can stop the highjack... don't ? LOL

naaah, I don't care about those, I was just mentioning. ( beside I found the winged magnum just by casuality )

That car still amazes me every time I see it.  Wasn't the story behind it that the owner had a disability and this mod allowed him to enter & drive the car?  Am I all wet on that recollection?

Yes, the owner was a quadraplegic (sp?) who loved the Superbirds.  With the modification, the owner was able to ride in the car and look out through the viewing window above the roof.  The driver told me that the center section of the bumper was hinged so it would pivot out of the way, and a ramp would be extended for the owner to get into the enclosure.  The car was modified in the 1970s when few people cared about the wing cars, but was done for all the right reasons... the owner loved that car!  I have heard several rumors about where the car is now, but have not been able to confirm any of them.

XS

xs29j8Bullitt took the photos of it in the link.
