If you run a manual Valve body or just shift manualy alot. Do the shifter comb or valve bodys wear out?

Are there improved parts?

John_Kunkel

Anything that is used often will wear out quicker than something that isn't so the answer is yes.

The only part of the roostercomb that usually wears is the shift shaft-to-seal interface, the shaft often gets grooved there. The rest of the parts are in a fluid bath so wear isn't that typical but it can happen.

Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

So you would get leakage  on the garage floor if the converter leaks down and raised the fluid level in the pan?

I've seen some shift shafts that were noticeably grooved that didn't leak a drop but a grooved shaft AND a hardened seal is likely to leak.
