For $1.8 million I could buy 52 of my favorite Mopars (one per week) and still have change left over for the fuel.

Not much imagination in the style either. :Twocents:

Now, I may be going against the grain here, but what exactly is the point of this this thing? Hideous to the eye and obscenely expensive, where can one drive at 268mph anyway. I would be embarrassed to drive that.

What's the point of taking a Johnson-era passenger sedan and trying to make it run a quarter mile in half the time it originally did?

TiMopar

Fun? Because you can? Point taken, but that kind of money is aeroplane territory....

Old Moparz

It doesn't matter what it looks like at that speed, people will only see a blur anyway.

I think it's pretty cool, but the price is amazingly stupid like anything else in that class. The American Dagger that's striving to be the fastest is cooler since it's a drop top. I'd love to get a chance to drive anything that's capable of these speeds, it would be fun. And even if these cars are out of our price range, we can still benefit from some of the technology that trickles down to the aftermarket. Look at a lot of the newer cars that the average person drives & can afford. They out handle many of the older cars with technology that used to be considered exotic.

Yes, but the man who owns it also owns an aeroplane.

yeah bugatti are ugly, i've seen it live too and it's not better  ::) look for mansory veyron too....  :icon_smile_blackeye: :eek2:

At least that Dagger thing has a long wheelbase.  When you're going 300mph a normal wheelbase probably feels like a little AMC gremlin or something.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

OneofNoneRT

This is the SS version which looks better than the lowly Veyron they built for the masses at $1,000,000 each..

Its one of those cars that can get up to 268 MPH but can't carry enought gas to actually go 268 Miles in 1 hour.

I would love to see the insurance claim on that last car.
One wheel is probably what I make in a year.

Yup. It's just a status symbol for rich guys who can't drive. I imagine half of them will get wrecked within the first six months of being purchased.
