I'm definitely making the rice crispy treats!!

Sounds like someone was sampling them a little too much!  (but they are just soooooo damn good)

my plans for this weekend just came to a screeching halt when my engine builder backed out so maybe i can make it

If you want to ride with us, no problem.  It's me and my 2 kids, so the passenger seat is currently available!  No air conditioning and I can't guarantee that you won't be assisting in some sort of roadside repairs though  :hack: :smash:

Hey Brian, we're leaving in a couple of minutes & not bringing any ants. I did however, need to clean out the box of canopy fittings since some mice took up residence in it.  ::)

I won't bring the mice unless you want me to.   :D

Ok, here are some pics  from the bbq yesterday.  Everyone seemed to have a great time and it was a pleasure talking to everyone.  Members in attendance were Old Moparz, Bordin37, Donotchallengher, shelby s/c, FLG, and of course myself, Resq302.  There were some other people who also attended who were my parents, (bob and pat) who own the white and red 70 challenger, Greg and Joan (who own two mustangs), and Blair (who owned the black new gen Challenger).

My wife surprised me with a cake made up by BJ's wholesale club with the dc.com logo on the cake.  I have to give my wife a TON of thanks as without her support and help,  this event would probably never have gotten off the ground. :2thumbs:

Frank (FLG) came to my house and we took the ferry across LI sound to CT, then over to Brian's.

Shelby did face painting.  Nice butterfly for my Sami girl, and even the older "kids" got into it... She had something extra special and meaningful for Dan (Boredin34)  Frank must have felt left out with only the Mopar Fratzog

Wasn't making the Ferry home, so I went straight through NYC should have been faster, yet not as pleasant and harder on the car going through those minefield city roads...  That's supposed to take 2 hours from Brian's house to mine.

Ferry alone is hour in change and then just about another 2 hours from brian's to there.  sounds like the Ferry would have been slower.

Well... hit the mother of all traffic jams.  It took over 3 hours to get from the Tappan Zee Bridge to the Whitestone bridge... it's a total of about 27 miles.  Literally crawling.  You can't treat a car worse than that, let alone a hot rod with a big block and a carb.  Never went above 210-215 and ran perfect.  Although it was an absolute inferno inside the car, we made it.  My 6 and 9 year olds were real troopers.  I had hooked up a DVD player for them before I left thinking it's a short trip and they would probably never even watch anything.

It couldn't kill the good time though. Was a great day putting actual people names and faces to the screen names and avatars I've been seeing here for all these years.  Brian was a great host and I like my chicken well done!!!  He clearly got the memo on that!!  lol

Here is a cool shot of Frank's charger along with a 1st gen firebird tail we picked up.  and someone stop me next time I offer to make food with my own hands to bring to one of these gatherings.  Rice Krispie treats tasted... I'm thinking of a word that sounds like shitty....

Kevin, the rice crispy treats are still going strong here.  I can't pass it by without taking one.  Actually that was the first thing I had before breakfast today.  I think there are only one or two left. :2thumbs:  Must have been the bondo spreader that you used that makes them taste so good.
