what color orange paint is the 71-74 air cleaner for CHARGERs and road runners

im restoring a dual snorkel air cleane i just got and want it to be correct so does it get painted HEMI orange ? what brand paint should i use ?  is rust olem primer ok to use ?

 Unless I'm mistaken the '71 dual snorkel was black and '72-'74 was hemi -orange. You'd probably be ok with R.O. primer. I'd want to use a high temp paint .

I have used a REGULAR SIMPLY AND basic, plain ORANGE can... when painting, I couln't notice any BIG diff with the old original one... and if any, maybe the faded due the heat could it be a reason

no need for High temp paint on it. Just a good cleaning. Primer ? I painted over the old paint. Dunno if really necesary primer. I sand paper the small chips to get a smooth surface so I got metal, and those areas have never chipped of again, except some chips I have made when handling it.






well I'm not really MAD for get a perfect color match there... if you think I had to Use Old Ford engine paint due is nor posible to find Corporated Chrysler blue ( or any Chrysler color ) down here. But Honestly I don't think this orange is far away from the original.
