Engine Stall After Hard Breaking

Almost everytime I jam on the brakes hard to come to a stop from say more than 25 mph, my engine stumbles, like it's flooding out.  If I don't tap on the gas pedal - it will stall out and I have to hold the carb open and crank over for a few seconds to get it started again.
My fuel pressure is around 5psi and my fuel bowl sites show the gas right in the middle of the glass sight hole while the engine is idling.
I have a Holley Proform 950 on a 512 stroker.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

It is flooding out because you have the floats too high.  ;)

The fuel level should be just at the bottom of the sight glass.  :yesnod:

I learned a valuable lesson a long time ago when it comes to float levels.
adjusting the float by a turn (less than half a sight-glass window), can yield a full point (13:1 to 12:1) change in A/F for those ports across the board.

something to keep in mind, if you do adjust the floats down significantly and your mixture was good before for whatever reason, you may need to jet down.

That was it! The secondary floats were too high.

Thanks
