what kind of primer for acrylic laquer for dash frame?

i tried getting some acrylic laquer primer at the local paint shop but he told me
it isn't sold around here anymore. i ordered the buckskin from tcpglobal out in
california. what type of primer can i use? it's been blasted down to bare metal.

Are you going to do any body work first or just going to prime and paint? If your just priming and paint any good bare metal sealer will work. I use Valspar DTM sealers. DTM means direct to metal. PPG's dplf line will work also. Try to use a sealer close to the same color as the paint for best coverage. For your color I would use white.

If you're working on just dash, you should have no problem using Sherwin Williams aerosol  Etching Primer GBP-988, it costs around $9-10 a can and this stuff is amazing, you can also use just about any epoxy primer, I wouldn't trust regular 2K primers.
