2 Tags on 68 Hemi sale car

Has anyone seen this pic from a 68 Hemi Road Runner on E-bay? The fender tag posted is a double tag. The ad says it is original. And it is really different as you can see. I've never heard of a double except on some Superbirds/Daytonas and highly optioned Cudas. Anyone have any info or background or guesses?

The ad provides no details on the car but emphasizes that they have info which "proves this cars authenticity beyond a shadow of doubt". So someone is already doubting it?

wonder if the second is off another car , with the digits ground flat & bondoed over ! & a the hemi engine stamped ,  as it looks to have been more rusty than the other tag & no inspection stamp - through

I can't call them on it because I have no idea but if I were selling it and I had proof beyond a shadow of a doubt, I think I would just display the evidence rather than make a statement like that.

I have a 2 tag '69 Charger R/T registered....

Never sen that Hemi Engine tag before myself

I have a friend who just picked up an unrestored '68 Hemi Road Runner and has both tags, the regular data fender tag AND a fender tag that has the words "HEMI ENGINE" on it.. I'll ask he knows where it was found.. Unlike the data fender tag, the 'hemi one doesn't have any markings from a screw. Think it was hanging somewhere under the dash if I'm not mistaken.........

The one in the pic looks like it was once attached to something with two screws, or do they drill them for two screws when blank?
On the other hand, the corrosion stain on the bottom left corner of the HEMI tag seems to correspond to a similar stain on the option tag.

I've seen a few '68's like that over the years...should be ok.

Just emailed Bob,, The "HEMI ENGINE" tag in his '68 was found on the floor by a previous owner under the carpet. It is just like the one seen in the ebay, core blank tag with "HEMI ENGINE" stamped in it........

66 -68 I have also heard of several found on the floor under the carpet
