Are there any non-Mopar parts that happen to fit a Charger?

The only things I can think of right off the top of my head is Magnum 500 wheels (or any Ford wheel) and a Vega hatch for doing a Daytona clone. Other than that are there any brand x parts you can think of that fit our Chargers?

jeryst

Only stuff I can think of might be things like hoses, belts, carbs, wipers, battery, etc.

I guess I'm thinking less generic. Of course the Ford 9" rear end goes in everything it seems but maybe parts like glass, interior, suspension, etc. Things you normally would think are Charger or even Mopar exclusive.

It's late, maybe I'm just being a tard. :shruggy:

Does any one own a Hollander's book that "junk yards" use? If anything would have what bull is asking about that should.

I remember that Mike AKA NYCMille, Mr. Angry (the guy who ran his charger on the first season of bullrun) told me that he put a 69 camero spoiler on the front of his charger.  It looked really good in my opinion  :Twocents:.

Don't the T-tops off a mid 70's Trans-Am fit pretty good?

My old books would not tell you, because it wouldn't be "factory" application.

You probably wouldn't believe all the non-Mopar things that can be used on a Charger if you only desire to put them there! :nana:

The Ford wheels don't work. There center hole is to small to go over a Moapr hub or axle flange.

Didn't some motorhome engines come with Rochester Quadrajet carbs in the '70's???

I remember working on a Dodge van with a quadrajet on it. Don't remember the year early 80's maybe.

Some of the Ford wheels will fit.

I believe Ford Explorer wheels will fit.

I'm not sure off the top of my head but it seems like everybody and there dog around the town where I live are running CJ Fords of one type or another so there are plenty of Ford parts around.  By trial and error I've run into some wheels that fit and some that don't.

TheAutoArchaeologist

With a little work, a 283 Chevy will fit in the engine bay of a 1st Gen Charger....

I don't think that's what you meant though....

Ghoste

Heretic.  A team of rabid hamsters working a bunch of treadmills will fit too but that doesn't mean you should do it.  :icon_smile_wink:

TheAutoArchaeologist

Don't look at me.  I didn't do it.  I found 2 Chargers under some pine trees, one had the 283... I could have gotten it cheap.  But it just felt dirty to me.

my73charger

I am pretty sure I have seen a Go Wing on a 69 Mustang before.

727 transmissions from AMC cars swap right in.

Nope these won't swap  AMC 727 have the bell housing for AMC engines which  IMO are POS.. The Internals swap out,but thats about it..
