Went to see Bill Cosby at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, NJ this past Saturday. His live stand up show is still pretty damn funny.   :2thumbs:

I wasn't really planning on going to see him, but his old HBO special was on a couple of months ago & my wife & daughter loved it so I snagged 3 tickets. Knowing that I wouldn't have to worry about explaining any "adult humor" at the show, I figured it would be safe to give my daughter a chance to see a live stand up act.

The first time I remember seeing Cosby on TV was "I Spy" when I was a kid, I'd watch it with my Dad. I also watched "Fat Albert" every Saturday morning for years, then later on a show he did where he interviewed kids. I don't remember what that one was called, but it was always funny.

If you're a Cosby fan & get a chance to see his live act, go for it.

He is my all time favorite comedian. Him and Jack Benny. They never needed to swear to be funny.

I picked up a couple of tickets to see him on-stage a few years ago. The night of the show my wife and I are having dinner (at home) and I realized that we had something going on that evening. The show was starting in 15 min and it was an hour away. We missed the show...and I've always regretted it. I enjoy his act.

Kids say the darndest things.

I have a show of him on tape somewhere, early to mid seventies and it's hilarious.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Yeah, that's the show, thanks.  :2thumbs:  He kind of opened his show last Saturday like that. He had his 3 grand kids come out, ages 6 thru 9 & it was hilarious.

"Now these 3 brain damaged children have the nerve to look surprised!!!  My wife grabs a yardstick, holds it like a samurai warrior and SSHHHEEERRRRRROOO!! Well children go scrambling everywhere!!  Now my job is the goalie and I kick 'em back into play."  Man I still remember that, good times!!

:2thumbs: Ditto.  Turntables, reel-to-reels, cassette decks, 8-track decks, and all the good stuff to play on them.  Let's also add Bob Newhart to those early recordings.  He and Bill always get a big laugh from me.
