I have a stuck bolt on my golf cart actually but I figure its very similar to a car. The bolt is stuck in a control arm on the cart, I have the nut off. There is only one bolt left holding it on out of two. My problem is that one bolt will not come out or even turn it just twists the bushing. I need to save the bushing. I have tried soaking it in PB Blaster and drilling out the center, but I drilled it at an angle accidently and I cant go any bigger than I have, I also took a ten pound sledge and pounded on it and still nothing. Heat is not an option. Any ideas? Thanks.

Air chisel with the blunt point tip works good. The rapid sharp blows do wonders!  :Twocents: :shruggy:

I have no air tools. I think I'm just going to reassemble it and wait for it to sheer.

my only option would be to put a pipe on the breaker bar for more leverage and more power   :shruggy:

the odds are that the bushing is deteriorated and neds to be changed anyway...many bushings like this are standardized in size, and you mightbe able to replace it easier than you think...good luck...

Heat is not an option? Because of the bushing? The only other thing I can suggest then is vibration. Air hammer with a blunt tipped bit or a 1/2" impact on the bolt head might work.

How about a ball joint seperater?

I think I'm going to dremel the head off if there is enough room for the dremel then keep drilling it out until nothing is left.
