I got a quote from a local guy to do the hood black out on my 74 charger. How does one go about getting the specs to have it done correctly?

Some extend over the edges of the bulge.

And some do not :shruggy:
I know these are both cars from different years but I found variations within the same years also.

(thank you for pics from the Post your 3rd gen cars thread)

The correct versions are:

1971 - Decal that stays on top of the bulge. It does not come down over the side.

1972 - The whole bulge is painted black, wrapping down over the sides.

1973-1974 - The whole bulge is painted black except that there is a body-colored window on the side where the engine nameplate is located.

You could just buy a 71 Superbee, R/T, or plain decal and lay it on yourself....

Thank you. That was very helpful and concise. I would lay the decal myself but the only one I locate is the 71 superbee with logo and 71 Rt with Logo. Is there a place that sells them without the logo?
