Deleting T-bars with coilovers?

Has anybody done this without going the Must II, and using the stock K member/front suspension arms? Did you have to strengthen the shock mounts? If so, what did you come up with? Looking to delete the t-bars on a uni-body car for header clearance, and thought of coilovers....

The shocktowers aren't really strong enough for coilovers as the factory built it.  Everyone seems to agree on that.  The car will start up and drive around like that but it ain't liking it.  Flexing and stuff.

The shocktowers are okay once you've beefed them up a bit.  XV started putting bracing between the top of the shock tower and the firewall/doorhinge area on their coilover cars.

Bolt-on coilover setup?  I don't know about that one.  At the very least I would imagine you'd need to use some kind of customized UCAs just to get a big enough hole to pass the coilover through it.  The stock UCAs aren't gonna fit much more than a shock absorber alone.
