I can't find connector for heater motor, the lead's end has the beginning of a connection but its busted off(probably why I keep frying stuff).

had a guy tell me it was ground- supposed to hook to back of head, not the cause of my electrical issues has a 73 Plymouth Charger?? said there were only 500 made(by mistake) I've never heard of that. I must have a short someplace that's frying ballast resistors and voltage regulators. What happened last time I had it out, ran fine for 5-6 miles on  the highway then pegged voltmeter, lost fuel, temp, &oil--to far from the house to go back(Nazi's at work) ran like that for another 5-6 miles then went back to normal for rest of trip, did the same thing on the way home, then wouldn't start next day. I have replaced all fuses, only one blown(turn signals) but the rest had "stretched" but still working. ballast resistor, voltage regulator, coil, and I have plug/coil wires on order. now the new ballast resistor smokes when key is turned on, so I must have something hooked up wrong, or short somewhere? would blown turn signal be first place to look?

Just found post that says new ballast resistors smoke and get hot, guess I will see if I can get it to run for a while, hate taking chance on burning up new voltage regulator etc.
