What scale is that car?   Just curious.   Is it the 1/32 scale?

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

Yup, same as the ones posted in the other thread.  Very nice detailing on it.

I don't recall seeing that Vette in any of the stores when I bought the wing car track set. But then again I was too busy drooling over the possiblity of racing a Daytona and a Superbird.

One day I'll get a 500 to run on the track.

The Vette is made by Revell/Monogram.  Follow the link below to see lots of cool slot car stuff.

I didn't realize this thread went to slot cars or I would have jumped in sooner. I don't have the scale cars you guys are talking about, just the old AFX & Aurora H.O. scale. I think I have 50 or 60 cars & 2 of them are Daytonas. (Blue/black #7 & yellow/black #7) I did see the bigger ones at a shop that just opened up near me. I was taking my 6 y.o. daughter to her gymnastics class, & when we were leaving, I saw the sign on the building next door. I turned around & went back to see what it was. They have a couple of race tracks set up & let you use them by  ½ hour or 1 hour rentals. They even sell & rent the cars too. I spoke with the guy for a while & he offered to let my daughter try one out. She caught on fast & loved it. I'll have to take her back & see about getting a car or two.

Yeah I'm not sure how the subject went from Welcoming John, to talking slot cars, but I don't mind. It definately isn't a boring thread.

Then again typical OneBad threads don't stick to the origional topics very well either. They tend to float from conversation to conversation. Then usually about the 100th post they get back to the origional questions or topics.

Bob. that would definitely be a cool thing for you and your daughter to get into.  Just think of the hours and hours of fun y'all can have and the memories to be gained from it!

Ya know, i was gonna reply to Bob and say how most ot my threads usually end up straying off onto four or five different topics and just end up being yackfests but Danny beat me to it!

I think the only thread I have ever seen you post a lot in that didn't go off topic was the Vintage pictures thread. For some odd reason that one went on for months and people stayed on topic and kept it going.

Hey, it's just like real conversation, just a little clumsier is all.

Big Lebowski

Your fan club is crying for you to go back to Moparts. :image_294343: What's wrong with those people. :icon_smile_big:

BTW Just to stir it. I've seen the same Burnt Orange Daytona R/T HEMI Dodge Charger gathering dust for so long, they finally washed it and put a $500 rebate on it.  My guess is the cool new Challenger will make that rebate go up to $5000 soon. Whatta ya think?  :D

That sums it up perfectly! THat's what I really like to do out here anyway is hang out and BS with folks who share the same interests that I do.  Ya know, just a bunch of folks hanging out yacking about Moparrs, slot cars and whatever else.  And THEN ya got folks like the ol' Big Lebowski stopping by and providing the comic relief!

Well I can understand them wanting John to come back and post on Moparts. He is one of the few reasons I ever went over there and posted.

There are a few other people who have been banned from there though in the past that I don't miss at all. Most of them were new people who would rant and all about this and that and never post anything about cars.

Ya know, I used to really enjoy posting and hanging out over there.  It's just changed so much.  It seems like every thread over there just ends up turning sour once all the negative nillies start throwing in their two cents.  Not to mention that a few select moderators over there have it in for me.  Thanks but no thanks.  This board and MoparStyle are the places to be.  I've said this before and I'll say it again.  Moparts may be the biggest Mopar board but it is FAR from being the best.

They even locked the good guy thread. First time I've seen that.  :smilielol:

I don't see what the hype is about Style. Where do you hang out? There's like 300 different areas of discussion over there.  :shruggy:

Wow ya know, you're right!   I've never seen a "good guy" thread get locked either!   Chris, I wanted to thank you and all the others who had kind things to say about me over there.   Y'all totally rock!   There sure was a lot of haters though, wasn't there!
:smilielol:

In looking at all the haters that posted over there, it becomes immefiately obvious that they're all the negative, cynical people that you can tell from their posts are not happy to begin with and spend theiir entire lives bitching, whining or complaining about whatever they can come up with next.   I choose not to live that way and choose to take a MUCH more postive approach to life and that suits me just fine!

NOW, as for your question about MoparStyle, there are tons of different forums you can choose to post in.   The list is below.

Keep in mind that the XtraStyle forums do require a paid membership.   There are some pretty cool and most entertaining threads in the XtraStyle forums and it is well worth the nominal costs which help to defray the costs of keeping the board up and running.

Did you just say Brand X forum? How dare you, you should be stripped of those wing cars for reading theads over there. Only kidding.

Yeah I have enjoyed the DSAC part of MoparStyle lately. I think I first read some threads over there about a year ago, but it wasn't a very happening place. It seems to have grown quite a bit here in just the past few months.

I admit it!  Forgive me Father for I have sinned and strayed to the Brand X forums on occasion!  I have even gone as far as acquiring one of Chevy's most notoriously lame cars of all time -- a Chevy Vega!!!
:smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

Yup, the wing car forum at Style has really picked up lately.  I'd like to get it to pick up even more.  I have some cool pics to post but have been super busy the past few days.

Yeah and you even went as far as to buy a brand new Brand X car too. What a shame. You should only buy brand new Mopars as keep the workers there employed. JK.

Yeah I'd love to see about 50-100 different wing car entusiast posting over there daily. For now its not too bad though, I think we have about 12-15 people that post quite regularly over there.

Ghoste

I used to go there a lot.  Registered one time when the old Charger site and the Coronet Registry were both down and the 66-67 forum wasn't around yet.  There are almost too many sites to keep up with anymore.
Then I have a couple of guitar sites that I pop in on.  I avoid the political crap on all of them as much as I do the off topic section here.  I can find lots of things to get me worked up just walking through everyday life that I don't need to purposely search for it.
