And they didn't have to shorten the deck lid...
Looks like this car was built from a 70 Charger body with Coronet convertible pieces added? I've seen one that was a 70 Coronet convertible with Charger body panels added.

Did you ever think of putting a roll bar on your car ?  painting  it to match the body . that would look tough . or a modern one like they have on the mustangs .

Years ago there was a 70 Charger that a guy turned into a convertible and when he explained what he did and I dare say he did twice the work to convert the charger as most would to put Charger tin on a Coronet convertible which is what I'd do. Its a whole bunch easier.
