I have a Promaster coil, #29440, from Mallory hooked up to my HEI aftermarket distributor (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DODGE-PLYMOUTH-440-426-HEI-DISTRIBUTOR-6714-R-/330441993173?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4cefe0abd5). Do I still need to use a ballast resistor on my 12volt line going to the coil or not. Having some backfiring issues and trying to narrow down all options.
