Hmmm. Sitting on the sofa for a few hours. Then take a nap. Hmmm. Why didnt I think of that?

Hey honey, our sofa is doing weird things. I think I may have to keep laying down on it until I figure it out!
But dont you worry, I'm going to figure it out, even if it takes months!

 Frank, I don't use Testors glue man, that stuff is junk and won't last long for on a model and in due time the models will start to fall apart. I only use the good stuff and that is the real CA glue  :icon_smile_wink: . For paint, well I mostly also use the real paint and not the model stuff but on project JB666 I used testors.

Now... why is it everyone thinks I use testors glue for?

I didn't take it personal man, that is why I stuck a  at the end. I do talk to Jeff from time to time. You see, I'm just like you bro, so I know what you mean.   :smilielol:

Man, then you don't know me, when I do something, I don't back down as I keep at it until I get the issue solved. All this time I always thought it was peoples imaging, when I was on it before and was viberating I didn't think nothing of it. But after the other night.. my mind is set on finding out what the heck is doing it or causing it to do it. If sleeping on it will get that job done then guess I will be doing  . If it takes me months, then it takes me months  . But I will get to the bottom of it

Well I think I just might have figure out part of the mistry that happen Sunday with my sofa. I talk to my cousin just afew minutes ago about the quake up state. 5.6 one . Seeing on the area I live on and where all the areas that felt the tremors. My cousin told me I might have felt it afew days ago before it hit as that might have been why the sofa viberated for alittle harder then before. To be honest, I didn't even know or was aware that there was a earthquake upstate today until seen the other thread about it just alittle while ago.. then my cousin Scott called me up to ask if I had heard about it yet. Could my sofa and this event be connected?  :shruggy:

It's staring to make me wonder now if it is or not. If so then why didn't anything else in the house make a sound then like as in the glass cups.

OK Jim - I got it figgured out....   :yesnod:

Simple, glass cups will only rattle if they make contact with each other.  I had the similar problem with one area in my kitchen that I would step on the floor and the glasses would rattle together.  Solution- move the glasses further apart.  No more rattling noise.

Okay that would make sense, but what about the glass plates that are stack on top of each other? surelly one of them would have made a sound which none of them did though. I have alot of loose things in the house can make noise just by walking by with the lights steps. None of that stuff ever made a sound either. The only thing I felt was the sofa viberating... under my butt  . Not sure if the event has anything to do with it or not. If I feel the sofa viberating again I will mention it.

Well, as for the plates, my plates that we have at my house did not rattle.  They are phaltzgraph plates which are kinda heavy but I know that my parents have lighter weight plates which do not rattle either.  must be the whole design of the plates versus the glasses as I have never really heard plates rattle.

well, the plates here at my house always rattle when  we get a trembler, that's the tip off a quake has arrived...  :o

MoparManJim

Well, my friend Mark stopped in for alittle while and we sat on the sofa and played GTA4 on the xBox and the sofa did nothing at all. I told him about what happen Sunday and he said "it did it again sunday?" and I told him and he said that is strange. I told him if he feels any viberations at all on the sofa to left me know in case I don't feel them. He set on the left hand side and I set on the right hand side of the sofa and neither of us felt anything from the sofa.

About the plates, yea I have afew different kinds, I have the heavy ones also and I also have the ligh weithed ones and afew of the place ones to that makes noise real easy even if you bump into the cabinet or walk by it and none of them made no sound the other night at all.

First I would have checked for critters a LONG time ago. Second, once there were no critters...I'd be good with it. Ok now seriously...you have a suspended floor...you probably did pick up on the smaller quakes prior to the big one. Small tremors can be felt it's just going to be felt when you are focused or completely relaxed.

Did I like it? Well if my butt was sore that it would have felt good, but my butt wasn't sore, and desides the sofa isn't pose to viberate.  :smilielol:

 But now sense you ask me, now I can't help but to ask you this "Would you have like it"?.... on 2nd thought.. don't asnwer that
